...or doing cartwheels....
...there are other things to do in Boracay. Just motor further out into the ocean and do stuff...
...like para-sailing.
This was the view from the speedboat.
...and this was the view from the top!
Helmet diving. No experience necessary! You put on these heavy helmets that have air continuously pumped into them, basically creating an air bubble around your head.
Then dive down about 4-5 metres and get to see lots of fish! Extra bonus: You get to keep your eyeglasses on!
You could rent a sailboat too!
To those with insatiable appetite to shop, there is D' Mall ("The Mall"). It's a collection of many small shops and restaurants.
This place must serve authentic submarine sandwiches! :-)
Turn onto one of the little alleys and see more handicraft items.
These were real frog skin purses. Did they really have to be that literal? :-)
Fresh tropical fruit shakes.
Out of the mouth of babes....
From an excited 8-year old: "Look! The houses here are just like those in George Of The Jungle!" Pure wonder. No malice. It was her first time to see the traditional Filipino houses with nipa palm leaf thatching on the roofs.
One reminder: By law, it is prohibited to take sand and seashells out of the island. So forget about that bottle of souvenir Boracay sand and those seashells you've collected....unless those shells are attached to something that helped the local economy! :-)
Boracay, I hope to be back again some day.
Did you miss Part 1? It's here.
